Climate Narratives

Climate change
has a face.

Personal stories of displacement, change and commitment in a changing climate.

has faces.

A multitude of real people, encountered in concrete places: each with a name, a life and a distinct perspective on a changing climate.

Faces & voices.

They tell their own stories — stories of climate displacement and climate engagement, of loss and new beginnings, of knowledge, courage, care and collective action.

Listening across places

What connects loss, adaptation and action?

Our work combines interviews, audio, photography, maps and collaborative formats. We are interested in the paths that connect climate displacement and climate engagement: What is lost when a place becomes uninhabitable? What helps people stay, adapt or begin again? And what can emerge when communities share experience and act together?

A growing, multilingual archive

Climate Narratives is an ongoing project. Most of the growing archive is currently available in German. Individual recordings and voices may remain in their original language; where useful, we add contextual information, summaries or translations.

Come in, listen and follow the traces.

You are warmly invited to explore the stories, people and projects already gathered here. Even where the surrounding interface is still German, images, voices and places offer many ways into the work.
